A little bit ABOUT me.
Hi, I’m Joel, a passionate and dedicated chef with over 20 years’ valuable experience working in some of the finest dining kitchens across the UK. Throughout my career, I’ve had the incredible pleasure of honing my craft at renowned spots like Chef Behind the Curtain, 16Eleven, and The Burgundian. I also had the exciting opportunity to appear on Beat Bobby Flay, where I faced off opposite the talented Poppy O’Toole. My time at Barking Frog further sharpened my skills and helped me develop a unique culinary style that I’m proud to share. Beyond the kitchen, I’m a huge fan of soccer, a devoted coffee enthusiast, and an avid lover of good wine. I’m also a passionate mental health ambassador, believing that food and wellness go hand in hand. I truly enjoy crafting new and exciting dishes that bring people together around the table, creating memorable shared experiences. These days, I’m proud to serve as the executive chef at Allister on Mercer Island, where I continue to share my deep love of food and cooking with every meal I create.
